2nd DEGREE BURNS It is necessary to differentiate two possibilities:
On the one hand, a superficial burn of the 2nd degree where the epidermis and part of the dermis are damaged. The pressure of the plasma leads to blistering; the wound is red and moist. These injuries are very painful given the irritation of the nerve endings. Subject to effective monitoring and good evolution, this 2nd degree burns can heal spontaneously. The risk of infection is greater than in the case of the first degree burn.
