In the event of an accident,
only cooling is recommended :

It is recommended to cool down burned areas (regardless of the degree and severity) pouring on them lukewarm natural water for at least 20 minutes.

It is only in case of burning by electricity that water should not be used when the victim is still in contact or close to an electric source.
