Living

You can have in the living a table covered with tablecloth, an open fire or a charcoal running stove, a Christmas tree lit up, all sorts of dangers.
Keep an eye on:
- liquids or hot objects placed at the edge of the table. Always put them at the middle of the table. Preferably do not lay a tablecloth or pin it strongly with pliers.
- alcoholic liquids. For appliances rather use pulp alcohol. Never poor alcohol on a small fire which is still alive. Make sure children stay away from electrical appliances.
- open fires, charcoal stove or radiator, Make sure there is a protection zone.
- decorative elements that are likely to become hot. Put small lights, put the candles out of reach of children, never leave matches around.
Children love accompanying people wherever they go, helping adults and attend all events. However it is preferable to postpone activities until they go to bed or until other adults are available to look after them. In addition, children must be taught to operate cautiously with fire and heat. Show them how to light a match with caution, how to keep it away from the body, explain why not to touch the iron, teach them to be aware of the dangers.
