Dear guest,

Children and teenagers are frequently victims of burns. The most affected people are mainly children who are keen to discover the vast world surrounding them.

Burned children need special assistance. The burn can be counted among the serious accidents whose consequences are numerous. The psycho-social aspect is extremely heavy to manage. They really need any available assistance. Aware of this problem, we created a few years ago, the ASBL Pinocchio association.

Needless to say how difficult a task it is to make a burned child restart smiling again, to alleviate this deep pain, and to blur the constant fear.

Our association has gradually developed to become a structured organisation and we can say that in Belgium, the association holds an important position as regards the support it brings to burned children.

All executive members are are committed to value their experience concerning the various complications resulting from burns. Psychologists, nurses, physiotherapists and many others, use enthusiastically their free time to help these young victims.

Proof of our success consists both in the annual increase in number of annual supporting membership and in donations by companies and service clubs. To a large extent, we owe our success to them. It is quite impossible to survive without this wonderful generosity.

This is the reason why we want to make our activities known to the rest of the world. In addition to our Pinocchio leaflet, we have opted for the development of a website. This website will lead you, through different menus, to the objectives and activities of the association.

Consulting our website already gives evidence of your sense of sympathy and compassion.
Thanks to your contribution, however small it is, you will put back a smile on a face of a burned child.
