A volunteer is not left on his own !  She/he is part of a team that performs well.  The asbl-vzw Pinocchio supports the volunteers giving them signs of recognition : polar vest, polo shirt, badge.  Together with that, the volunteer is insured, gets travel expenses and meals repaid.

Last but not least, the psychological support is essential : it is indeed very important  to be able to speak of one's experience with the psychologists, nurses and doctors.

A yearly day of the volunteer is organized to let volunteers meet one another and to get informed about the latest trends in medical care and organization of the different departments.

The Pinocchio volunteer is also invited to important celebrations, as the visit of Santa Claus.
